'I started my career as a ‘Nursing Auxiliary’ the equivalent of todays Health Care Assistants, so the role is something that is very dear to my heart and a role I dearly loved. I therefore fully understand the very important contribution you make to patient care in terms of the direct support you provide to patients and the invaluable support you provide to other members of the wider team.
Each year the Foundation supports HCAs to develop their careers by funding courses and activities to not only enhance your knowledge and expertise and so improving the care you provide, but also to provide you with the opportunity to further develop your role and career pathway.
We have seen some amazing work carried out from applicants to our bursaries and the important contribution this has made to patient care, so if you feel you have a project or a course in mind that would help you to develop your skills, knowledge and expertise to deliver improved care then apply today for support from the Foundation'
